Vintage Bicycles May 13, 2024The cotter pins and gear cable arrived so it’s straight to work on finishing the bicycle. Rear derailleur on, crankset fitted, mudguards fitted, brake levers and brake callipers on. Rookie mistake- don’t have a chain splitting tool so going to buy one tomorrow and finish off the final jobs to do.
Vintage Bicycles May 12, 2024Rapid progress on the 1963 Carlton Franco Suisse- wanted to get things clean yet keeping the patina. New tyres/inner tubes, cleaned the freewheel of grime, saddle on, stem/bars on.
