Classics – that’s what we need more of. 2 week grand tours so we can fit in more classics. Stage 17 showed that. Or maybe a Grand Tour des Classiques? Now we are talking!
Unsubcscribing – I'm fed up with the title or thumbnail giving away the result.
This stage had everything: breakaway chaos, green jersey tactics, GC opportunities, and teams completely contradicting their own strategy. Trek’s biggest mistake wasn’t chasing points—it was continuing to control after Philipsen had already been dropped. Once they failed to let the attacks go, they basically helped bring the fastest sprinter back into contention. Van der Poel’s work for Philipsen in the finale was outstanding. Do you think Trek lost this stage tactically, or was Philipsen simply unbeatable once the race came back together?
Nsn did not do enough to allow Bini a chance today
FREE QUINN SIMMONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for the return of Group Jeget
The race for white jersy is the new gc
5:48 nice reference to Odyssey 🫡
Brutal and Trek really screwed this up. With the positioning of the intermediate sprint in the next stages the green jersey may go down to the first passage of the champs Elysées.
After such a rollercoaster of not throwing someone to the barries i want tonthank mvdp for serving me this win. 🥇
No one got slammed into a wall ?
The Master .. Full Stop .. 😎
GC 2nd 3rd place, green and white jersey now become main highlight. Fans love that. Tadej too dominant for yellow jersey then it non competative
Trek cooked this so bad
Good analysis and insights. Bring the true drama out of the race. Keep it up!
Jordan Jegat my goat how does he do it every time
This is one of the best competitions I’ve seen for the sprint points jersey. Thank you for the commentary!
MdVP was the MVP in this stage! 💪💪
Wins and then gets publicly ripped by his team manager. I suspect Jasper will not be at Alpecin next year…
I hate watching MvDP ride purely for Phillipsen. Thats a stage he could have won or at least been competing for
Ciao ciao!
Philipsen looks like Max Verstappen
Trying to figure how this was the best stage. It pretty much sucked. I fell asleep watching it, it was sooooo boring.
Another prime example of why Patrick needs to keep the rights: This is proper Analysis, not just a mere recap.
Life is pain and suffering
Definitely exciting, great commentary.
Trek DS must have the UAE flu. Use your head man.
This tour was so boring. Not just because it’s been a formality for Pogi, but I feel like there have been none of those magic breakaway stages like a Healy win from 100k or whatever. Coverage from LTR still elite though.
It is very nice to have a teammate like MVDP in a chaotic classics style sprint stage, just like having WVA or G for a long GC stage.
This channel is like Trader Joe’s. What he does is excellent, but you still wind up having to go somewhere else to get everything you need. In this case, I wish he could have spent five seconds before saying the slightly irritating “ciao, ciao” to give the GC standing and whatever update that may have happened.
Just when I thought nothing could be worse than the 2025 TdF, along comes 2026 to crush souls even harder.
Man if you could just try to talk a bit more slow and clear. I like your videos, particularly the more in depth commentary, but as non-native English speaker, specially the British accent is sometimes hard to understand even some sentences. I’m 80% there my man. Pretty sure others will appreciate it too 😊
Wo ist Pogachar ?
Good one Pat. Yesterday's stage was fascinating
Merlier and Milan clearly the best sprinters right now, shame neither of them are there (anymore, in Merlier’s case).
Pedersen and stuyven are friends , that's another reason why pedersen didn't want his team to pull hard in the end
What actually is a transition stage? One between 2 locations, or one between the flat stages and the mountain stages to come? Never really knew how to define a transition stage
As always a wunderful analysis and recap of the stage. Thank you!
funny how "the best stage" ends in a sprint won by a pure sprinter
brilliant explanation
Im so glad the best stage starts from my hometown man
It makes no sense for mvdp to shut down Simmons bc Simmons should be happy to tow mvdp to the line for a win to soak up the points. Kind of a crazy situation that you would help the opponent win to beat the opponent's teammate, but trek played it very wrong at the end
Brilliant as usual, LR. Always the definitive recap coverage of TDF. Thank you
It’s boring at this point. We all know it.
More like a one-day classic than a tour stage. Translation: actually exciting racing where riders are going eyeballs out.
Lanterne Rouge highlights are the best!
