  1. Classics – that’s what we need more of. 2 week grand tours so we can fit in more classics. Stage 17 showed that. Or maybe a Grand Tour des Classiques? Now we are talking!

  2. This stage had everything: breakaway chaos, green jersey tactics, GC opportunities, and teams completely contradicting their own strategy. Trek’s biggest mistake wasn’t chasing points—it was continuing to control after Philipsen had already been dropped. Once they failed to let the attacks go, they basically helped bring the fastest sprinter back into contention. Van der Poel’s work for Philipsen in the finale was outstanding. Do you think Trek lost this stage tactically, or was Philipsen simply unbeatable once the race came back together?

  3. Brutal and Trek really screwed this up. With the positioning of the intermediate sprint in the next stages the green jersey may go down to the first passage of the champs Elysées.

  4. GC 2nd 3rd place, green and white jersey now become main highlight. Fans love that. Tadej too dominant for yellow jersey then it non competative

  5. This tour was so boring. Not just because it’s been a formality for Pogi, but I feel like there have been none of those magic breakaway stages like a Healy win from 100k or whatever. Coverage from LTR still elite though.

  6. It is very nice to have a teammate like MVDP in a chaotic classics style sprint stage, just like having WVA or G for a long GC stage.

  7. This channel is like Trader Joe’s. What he does is excellent, but you still wind up having to go somewhere else to get everything you need. In this case, I wish he could have spent five seconds before saying the slightly irritating “ciao, ciao” to give the GC standing and whatever update that may have happened.

  8. Man if you could just try to talk a bit more slow and clear. I like your videos, particularly the more in depth commentary, but as non-native English speaker, specially the British accent is sometimes hard to understand even some sentences. I’m 80% there my man. Pretty sure others will appreciate it too 😊

  9. Pedersen and stuyven are friends , that's another reason why pedersen didn't want his team to pull hard in the end

  10. What actually is a transition stage? One between 2 locations, or one between the flat stages and the mountain stages to come? Never really knew how to define a transition stage

  11. It makes no sense for mvdp to shut down Simmons bc Simmons should be happy to tow mvdp to the line for a win to soak up the points. Kind of a crazy situation that you would help the opponent win to beat the opponent's teammate, but trek played it very wrong at the end

  12. More like a one-day classic than a tour stage. Translation: actually exciting racing where riders are going eyeballs out.
Lanterne Rouge highlights are the best!
