  1. To be honest Dave, Most Road bikes despite all the Upgrades have just shocking prices….even with Carbon Fibre, it shouldn't cost more than 1000-1200 bucks…. while most entry level bikes also should be around 500… otherwise it shouldn't be considered as a community Sport as it always was with Cycling.

Even Alluminium (with Lesser Labour Cost than CF) Bikes are priced at similar at a Motorcycle…even if those bikes aren't TDF ready bikes…..

Even with all the Comforts it provides.

  2. I love modern fast bikes, love the aero, love the fat tires, love the short cranks and narrow bars, love the hydraulic brakes, love all of it……….except the electronic shifting. Having to recharge a pedal bikes batteries defeats its very existence to me.

  3. 550W at 33km/h never … misleading
If i bypass another cyclist i need to think if the 3×10 on my 2010 bike help me more than a fully integrated cable aero with 1×12.

  4. Wider tyres at lower pressures!! My neighbour, a retired farmer, has some tractor tyres he no longer uses. If I put those on my bike, would they make me faster?
