Please don't ever wear that jersey again.
To be honest Dave, Most Road bikes despite all the Upgrades have just shocking prices….even with Carbon Fibre, it shouldn't cost more than 1000-1200 bucks…. while most entry level bikes also should be around 500… otherwise it shouldn't be considered as a community Sport as it always was with Cycling.
Even Alluminium (with Lesser Labour Cost than CF) Bikes are priced at similar at a Motorcycle…even if those bikes aren't TDF ready bikes…..
Even with all the Comforts it provides.
The reason this bike isn't 13k is because it's missing the Vision handlebar and wheels. So not really a Tour de France spec bike.
Tour de France Bikes Are So Fast because they are ridden by very fast pros.
Dr Ferrari worked that out decades ago…… All the top riders mentioned next to Tadej have all taken drugs.
Just picked up a 2003 trek oclv for $200 last week.
Right, now explain that jersey color?
Please review the latest Assos range, how it compares to the likes of castelli etc. Thanks in advance
Bike's air resistance is negligible, compared with human body's air resistance. Recumbent bike is the best solution but the riding position is uncommon.
20 years ago? Cables were exposed 5 years ago.
I love modern fast bikes, love the aero, love the fat tires, love the short cranks and narrow bars, love the hydraulic brakes, love all of it……….except the electronic shifting. Having to recharge a pedal bikes batteries defeats its very existence to me.
Why Tour de France Bikes Are So Fast?. Because Tadej Pogačar is riding them.
550W at 33km/h never … misleading
If i bypass another cyclist i need to think if the 3×10 on my 2010 bike help me more than a fully integrated cable aero with 1×12.
Still have to pedal it fast
David you know it’s the riders not the bikes 99.9 percent of the time.
Astana always have good looking paint jobs. It seems like whoever sponsors them must give them a good paint job. The williers they had a couple of years ago looked amazing.
If it's designed to be as aero as possible why does it have disc brakes?
Wider tyres at lower pressures!! My neighbour, a retired farmer, has some tractor tyres he no longer uses. If I put those on my bike, would they make me faster?
wheels, the leading edge, & rider posture are ‘aero’. everything else is in turbulent air and is spurious. frames aren’t fast, riders are.
Love the jersey – don’t let anybody tell you otherwise!
