    No, I would consider patching this from the inside and continue to ride it. They make tire patches for this. Obviously test it first, if it visibly bulges etc, replace. The weakest point of a tire is the sidewall, not the middle.

  2. To be honest, I would probably still ride it. The rubber doesn’t contribute very much to the structure of a tire, so as long as the casing underneath is intact, it’s probably okay.

  3. Not around here. Those lips would sip up little bits of glass and chert like it was sipping a cup of tea. But I wouldn’t worry about a blowout unless the fabric has been sliced. I don’t like slicks anyway cuz I don’t how thick they are.
