Avoid common mistakes and blend in like a local! From public transport etiquette to quiet hours, learn the everyday norms Germans follow — and make your trip smoother.
I was raised and lived in Germany from 72 to 96. I still hate when people show up un announced. Drives me crazy. Coffee isn't made and I don't have cake or pastries ready to serve with it. I can't send the kids to the bakery around the corner to get something like in Germany. Family can come anytime of course.😊
I am not comparing you with any other girl. You are good in your own way and you have a specific purpose… To be a provider and sustainer… But that doesn't mean you would be paid more…
These „unspoken“ rules can be found 2,568,233 times in the Internet. Most US american tourists simply don‘t care about the rules in their destination country. After all, they are Americans and Americans do it the right way. So the others must adapt.

Same rules apply for the Netherlands except for the escalators and quiet time. A lot of people(arseholes) unfortunately don't give damn
Oh beautiful silence
In Portugal: do the opposite
None of these happen in america 😂
Number 1 German Rule put your bag to empty seat in a crowded metro, look at the people's eye directly disturb them
With EU countries full of immigrants I'm sure these rules are ignored now, to the frustration of the etnic populations
And immigrants follow ZERO of these rules and no one cares, soooo… why should you or anyone follow them?? Let that sink in
Here in the Southeastern US, say “I’m sorry” or “excuse me” when crossing someone’s path or reaching across them
True
Do you even speak German in Germany? Oh no! Long live the king!
It's just common sense lol
What ever it is but private property trespasser not allowed…

This is why Germany is not a popular destination for foreigners.
Aka normal human behaviour
❗️Rechts stehen, links gehen❗️
I guess this rules are the same all over the world.
Born in Germany, graduated high school in Germany and stationed in Germany with the US military. I still tipped servers in restaurants and gasthauses.
Pretty much all of these seem to be simple courtesy.
Quite similar to japan
Sunday is the day of the lord
I believe it's not just in Germany, these are spoken rules in UAE too while I was living there for 3 years
Great Rules, should be all over the world
1. Is the same for Japan!!
