Rich Payne thinks that shifting gears is one of them, you may think it’s simple but there might be some things you’re getting wrong! Forever in the wrong gear coming off a downhill
having an oval chain ring seems to help shifting under load timing is key
No wonder people are wanting automatic transmission huh? Even 1x is way too complex for them lol
Squillienth: a measurement so small you barely notice. Example- “The US debt was reduced by a squillienth this quarter, say financial experts.”
Biking is like so many sports ..there is a lot to learn and think about. You need anticipate and adjust for your situation in advance to improve the experience.
I'm sure this video is somewhat informative and helpful for beginners. Sadly it's the last video I'll watch from GMBN though since the channel has become so extremely basic and aimed for ABSOLUTE beginners over the last months that I simply can't find anything of interest for me amymore. Thanks for the journey though, take care.
I actually miss having a set of rings up front.
Wish I could afford that bike. Come to Romania, get the true meaning of an XC track
Thank You for this useful guide!!?!!!
Excellent video….thanks for sharing your experience & knowledge with us newbie’s!!😃❤️🦅
Way to use your noodle 😄
I am a beginner. I don't have a clue about bikes. I am lost. Do I change both gears, rear, and front? I had advice only change rear gears. And second Advice change boths gears? Please help
Shhhh! I'm borowing my son's bike while he's at his dads because car broke! OMG!! I'm 52 yrs old, and this ain't like my old HUFFY! And his bike is a Shimano! 😮this is a lot to remember!!;
This was very helpful as I have not been on a mountain bike in years..this will help change my life for the better with my weight lose journey thank you 🙏🏽
Nice kickstand
So high gear for more torque on uphill terrain? What about for regular street use? I feel I had a better grip on this BEFORE I came to the channel. Use #'s of the gears your in for examples please. I'm commonly in gear 21 for speed.
Fancy pants? How dare you sir
If you have 2 or 3 gears on the front of your bike, this video is NOT for you.
I've had my bike for 8 years, maybe. I've never broken a chain, but i did break my elbow.
What if the bike gear is not shifting is it the gear cable or the gear switch.
Thanks for the tips man. Just got me a super expensive mtb kinda excited 😁
ive had my bike stolen 142 times, i got a guard dog and they poisoned it and stole my bike again 143 times.
I have a lot of steep hills in my area.. When comparing gear ratios, the smaller the number, the easier to pedal? Looking to get a new bike and all have a single front, my current/old bike has a triple.
I somewhat understand gears because I drive a manual transmission car, but bikes are so different. I just picked up a used mountain bike for trail riding with easy up down changes in terrain, all dirt. It says that it’s a 15 speed and I’m not sure how that correlates to the gears. I can’t find a manual.
This actually has a lot in common with shifting a 18 wheeler
Hey so I have a 7 gear speed bike but I only have 6 rings the chain goes onto. So can any one explain what’s the 7th gear do
This guide is so confusing
I can't seem to find the sweet spot to shift before making my gears clunk. I am also 440lbs(idk how many stones or whatever it was called over there🤣) so that doesn't help.
This is the exact information i needed. Thank you!
Many Thanks! Very usefull for a noob in MTB. Have to subcribe!
My boy just casually teaching us on a $10,000 bike 😂 👏👏
Too fast for a beginner!
My. Gear. Cable. Is. Broken.😢
Not going to lie. I just came here to watch a bike shift gears. 😥
