  1. I'm on my second year of growth of the prickleless blackberries. I can't wait to eat some. And when I have old canes, I'm gonna use them to propagate more!!

  2. 🥹 thank you for making this. Years ago, I lived in an area with blackberry bushes just growing nuts and while picking blackberries, one of our dogs decided to come over and try to help. He picked some berries that were not ripe yet but at least he seemed interested in helping. Sadly, that dog passed away a long time ago so it’s a bittersweet memory.

  3. I only have wild blackberries surrounding my yard. They are the super thorny ones but they cost me nothing and I only trim the tendrils that try to creep across my yard. They're actually a living fence without any support. I have picked 12 gallons a year for 20 years. (No fertilizer, no watering, no supports).

  4. first 1/3 of the short was pointless. i just LOVE watching people eat and talk with their mouth (acting) full of food. it's just the best…. 🤔😏

  5. Best Blackberries ever are the ones that grow near the nesting areas at Grandview in Virginia. It's another beautiful day here On The Shores Of The Chesapeake Bay in Hampton Roads. Whatcha out for the rabbits chiggers. And those who consume those critters feasting on berries.

  6. This made me smile – where I live, blackberries grow wild everywhere and it's a constant battle to stop them invading the garden. On the plus side, we get huge crops of more fruit than we could possibly ever use.

  7. Mistake number 4..planting directly in the ground. Put them in a raised bed containter because these will go invasive quickly. But have a relativly shallow root system .the confines of a raised bed works well.

  8. By looking at it, how would I know when to remove a cane? There will be a mix of young and old canes growing up. Does it always have to be after second year and is it after summer or fall?

  9. A thorny wild blackberry vine came with the house. I thought it was the only one until I found more growing wild in the back lot.

  10. Me watching this after I spent 3 months cutting back a blackberry invasion and wondering why anyone in their right mind would ever intentionally grow blackberries.
