  1. Not really, the upper pulley wheel just needs to be below the cog. Check also the B-screw gap. There’s a tool for it and it should be in the box. Waxed chains can also take some time to smooth in.

    Check if chain is in right position.. it happened to me after waxing, I’ve put the chain upside down. ( it really becomes noisy as F.. and shifts really bad)
    SRAM has only one sided chain direction versus Shimano.
    So the rounded sided towards the gears.
