Hi, I'm flying with my bike for the first time soon. Should I remove the seat post and pack it separately in the bag, or is it okay to leave it as it is? See photo. Unfortunately, I can't lower it any further. It's a carbon seat post, if that makes any difference.

I’d remove it, no sense in risking it.
Remove it and sleep better.
Mine looks exactly like that. When I pack my road and gravel bikes. I just leave it.
Remove it. I voile strap it to inside the seat stay or frame.
Probably the easiest thing to remove on my
Bike. Do it.
a carbon bike in a softshell bag? good luck!
and yes, absolutely remove it.
what does the maker of the bike bag says?
remove – it’s just a big lever asking to be bent.
I usually take the seat post off with the saddle still intact and then place the forks into the underside of the seat post, it prevents the forks piercing anything!
100% remove
Just throw it away, it’s all saved weight….
Armor up a LOT better than that. Learned the hard way. Twice.
Remove it.
Remove it now. It’s asking for trouble. I saw baggage handlers throw my bike box off a trolley onto the concrete. Your packing needs to be able to withstand that level of abuse.
If it’s a soft bag, it might be best to lower the saddle as far down as possible. On a similar Scicon bag that was what you were supposed to do and it helped with the overall strength of the badge/bike in transit
I think it‘s happy to see you!
Pack it where it won’t move around. I zip tie steel posts to alloy wheel rims.
Remove. I’ve broken mine just like that but leaving it on.
