    Mine looks exactly like that. When I pack my road and gravel bikes. I just leave it.

    I usually take the seat post off with the saddle still intact and then place the forks into the underside of the seat post, it prevents the forks piercing anything!

    Remove it now. It’s asking for trouble. I saw baggage handlers throw my bike box off a trolley onto the concrete. Your packing needs to be able to withstand that level of abuse.

  4. If it’s a soft bag, it might be best to lower the saddle as far down as possible. On a similar Scicon bag that was what you were supposed to do and it helped with the overall strength of the badge/bike in transit

  5. Pack it where it won’t move around. I zip tie steel posts to alloy wheel rims.
