    I literally couldn’t give away my set of tubular carbon wheels, and for good reason at that.

  2. my room mate had 650 tubular on his pursuit bike, every time you get a flat it’s a whole fucking process, I wouldn’t ever run one of those

  3. I wouldn’t touch tubular tires now that tubeless clincher are common. It’s not just a convenience thing, but I trust modern braking surfaces way more.

    And I certainly wouldn’t bother with 20 year old ones.

    Old wheels are getting cheaper, but also more rare. I bought a set of Zipp Firecrest 404s [clinchers] for my remaining disk road bike for $450. If you have 10 speed/QR, get something worth owning.
