I’ve just moved to a small town in France. Here’s a glimpse of my new life in Uzess, a town that kind of feels like a movie set. [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] That’s [Music] [Music] Oh, she’s come out of her pot. [Music] [Music] Currently on the search for trash can because there’s not a trash can in our building And the owner’s sister told me that it’s on some street around here, but I’ve not been able to find it. So, here I am just walking through the streets of beautiful Jesus with trash. I found them. All right. Okay. Just in this random intersection over here. While I still have my rental car, I’m doing a pit stop at IKEA because I definitely need some things for the apartment. I’ll need to drop my car back off at the car rental and then find a way to the bus to take the bus back to us. Here we go. Success. Now I get to carry this all the way back on the bus. But it’ll be worth it to be able to set up my kitchen, put my food away, put my spices away. There’s just not enough space for that. So this thing is a bit heavy. But Sabah, we’ll make it. [Music] I didn’t really think through this part since it’s a 15-minute walk into town. Maybe [Music] No heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] I decided to take a guided tour of the town with the tourist office to learn more about its history. This is the medieval Chateau Duzess, once the home of the powerful Duke of Duzess, a ranking just below royalty. The guide had a habit of speaking with her back towards us. It was hard for me to understand everything since the tour was in French and she spoke softly, so I always tried to get closer to the guide to hear her, but somehow I always ended up with a back in my face. Even in this church, she chose to block the one pew I was in with her back to me. Oh well, I learned a few things and we got to go inside some courtyards and staircases that are normally closed to the public. Even with a few language barriers and some backto-back encounters, I’m still glad I took the tour. I look forward to discovering even more about this charming town. In the next video, my friend is coming to visit and we’re hitting the road for some day trips around Provence. From quaint towns to breathtaking sites and a fun festival, you won’t want to miss it.
