I just wanted to share today's small victory. I picked up road biking last week (I used to ride quite often from '13-'14) with my rides now typically consisting of six miles at a thirteen / fourteen mph pace. Today I focused specifically on a slower average speed but double the distance of my usual ride. I'm absolutely thrilled to say the least! The last time I completed a twelve mile bike ride was circa 2015. I could not be anymore happy that I set a goal and hit it!! I know my pace is slow, but I'm just getting back into it. My goal for one month from today is to complete twelve miles at a sub one hour time.

Hell yeah!!! As soon as one distance feels good, go further!! Speed is irrelevant.
Congrats! Then it becomes 50, 75, and the century haha
Congrats!! Before you know it 12 miles will seem like a warmup 😎. You got this!
Nice. Smart to dial back the pace if you are trying to go further than before. I’m bad at doing this. Keep it up!
Nice work! Keep it up! You can do this!!
nice. keep going, 1 mile at a time..that’s how i went from 2.5 km on day 1 to a century in 4 months
Congrats, keep at it!
Heck yes! Congratulations!
You’ll be tackling gran fondo rides in no time! Keep it up and congrats!
Awesome man!
Go, man, go
Well done and on to the next one!
Hell yeah! One ride at a time
Fuck yeah! Keep at it and you’ll make strides. I’ve mostly been a bike commuter, but got myself a nice road bike recently. Instantly hooked. Going for longer and longer rides and making incredible progress in just a month.
You’ve done 12, you can definitely do 25. This I am sure of.
Don’t forget the bananas! 😎👍
Hell yes baby!! It’s all a base. Build that base. You rock and keep pedaling. Inspiration!!!
Good for you! My best advice is to try to stay into Zone 2, you’ll be amazed of the results in the medium to long term.
