Make sure you use it regularly. The downside of battery operated devices for emergencies is it rarely gets maintained. So when you actually need it, it’s 50/50 if it works out not.

  2. It’s a great option, probably the best. I have a small battery that I carry also in case for some odd reason it isn’t charged but I charge mine once every two weeks and haven’t noticed more than 1 to 2 percent less in those weeks.

  3. These things are actually heavier than a small manual pump solving a non existing problem in my view. Have a look at lezyn those weight 80-90grams vs 222 for this thing I know what I like to carry in my back pocket

  4. Use it to do your routine air pressure checks/ top ups, then you’ll notice if you need to charge it. It’s great for pressure adjustments mid ride ( i.e., for airing up or down between road and gravel).
