  1. How long does a ride have to be to qualify for a “recovery drink”? For context I did a metric century last weekend and I do long rides over 50 miles several times a month. Never did anything special for recovery. Just keep drinking water is all.

    Chocolate protein shake milk that has 50g protein and a bunch of sugar. The guy in the shop knows its bike day when I get a energy drink and said bottle of milk

    Garden of life Raw Meal chocolate. Almost always have one as soon as I finish a ride. Maybe a Coke Zero as well.

    I crave cold milk after a long ride, especially when it’s hot out. I can drink a liter in a coupla’ minutes.

  5. in chile (so i imagine elsewhere, although i’ve not seen it in the uk) there’s a chocolate milk with added oats. it’s not oat milk, but real milk made thicker. and it’s gorgeous.

    Ice cold Starbucks Mocha Frappucino in a bottle, nothing like it after a hot weather ride!
