How long does a ride have to be to qualify for a “recovery drink”? For context I did a metric century last weekend and I do long rides over 50 miles several times a month. Never did anything special for recovery. Just keep drinking water is all.

Garden of life Raw Meal chocolate. Almost always have one as soon as I finish a ride. Maybe a Coke Zero as well.

in chile (so i imagine elsewhere, although i’ve not seen it in the uk) there’s a chocolate milk with added oats. it’s not oat milk, but real milk made thicker. and it’s gorgeous.

Same thing here, in Serbia we have these protein shakes in many different flavours, available in basically all shops. These are my saving grace on long rides and I can get them on basically any route I take.
