    I personally would keep looking for something with more clearance, at least cantilever brakes and at least 28 spoke wheels.

    that being said this is an insanely cool road bike project

  2. Will 90% depend on what space you got in the rear and fork to allow for bigger tires.
    I don’t know the model but it looks like a “race oriented” road bike, so very unlikely you can get more than 28mm in. So id say no.

    Also that saddle angle my dude

    Put new road tires on it and rip it. 80s/90s steel road bikes are top tier fun machines

  5. Throw some tektro r559 brakes on there and some 650b wheels with 42mm tires, and enjoy riding any road you want on some fantastic vintage steel.

    Very much unsuitable

    You want maybe a disc brake hybrid or some obsolete disc brake MTB but you’ll still have some issues with the group set
