    You picked up grit, likely while riding in the wet. You can try digging the grit chinks out with something pointy, or replace the pads.

    Replace the pads. I had this issue with some older pads, it was ripping up the rim. Chucked in new pads. Stopped.

    Disclaimer: that my personal experience.

  3. That’s fairly normal. Clean the brake pads regularly and pick out the bigger chunks of aluminum with something pointy.
