Has anybody received this email to inspect the fork steerer tube? I’m not close to any of their repair shops on the website so I’d like to see what this entails if or I can just go to my local bike shop to inspect and or fix if it’s not too pricey.

I’m in contact with my nearest one, 1 hour drive away. I think they inspect it and if it’s knackered it’s a new fork, if not they put some reinforcements in side and you continue. My place say it’ll be a month before the kits are in stock. Very inconvenient to say the least!
Well well… They should’ve learned from their own mistakes with cockpits like the h31 that needed a wedge extention as reinforcement
There’s already a thread on this. I posted photos of my fork. Canyon was useless in finding resolution. Try emailing them to see if they would be willing to send the fork and repair kit to a shop of your choice.
