Rim Brake Brigade!
Rim Brakes gang!!! ……………
👇🏻❤
The maintenance of carbon rim wheels is more expensive than carbon disc wheels…disc>rim
Disc brakes double up as a horn. Ring bell at peds get punched. Ask them to move get ignored. Apply noisy brakes and they get out your way.
when i was younger i used to ride with all kinds of weather, rain,no rain, wind…and there was no Disc brakes in road bikes, all my 5 bikes are still rim brakes and the simplicity of changing wheels and brake pads etc is very simple,my mountain bike is disc brake, wich is fine, but my Cube Agree with dual mount rim brakes stops just fine.
Less maintenance and lighter
The biggest difference between disk breaks and rim breaks is. with disk breaks you can have no pads. and still have breaking power. with rim breaks. and no pads left. You have zero breaking power. I nearly died with rim breaks. so i will never have them again.
To the bike industry.. don’t tell me how to think. Oh and in all of my 15 plus years of riding rim brakes I’ve never been in a position where I’ve thought ‘oh that was a bit close if only I’d have had discs’
never had an issue with rim brakes, but i feel way more secure at high speeds with disc brakes
Rim brake for me is an option not a must. The only negative thing about it is tire clearance but other than that perfectly fine
I hope they continue to make rim brakes.
Discs for my Roubaix on tarmac and Scottish mountain tracks. Rim brakes for my Specialissima climbing bike on tarmac climbs.
My road bike is all about the go, not the stop. Also, Im not descending in the Alps any time soon.
I’m a convert from MTB to road, but I’ve never enjoyed rim brakes or even cable disc brakes, I can’t rely on them to do the stopping power.
GCN won't like this video
I had a disc brake bike out of curiosity sold it within the year looks ugly needed special bleed kit . complete scam how people are convinced they are better L don't know. The power of marketing and gullible public.
I usually use my glutes muscles to bite the saddle when rim brakes are not biting enough.
Disc only for me.
🙋🏼♂️ Yes, I can.
Old inferior tech which belongs in a museum. Just an old man yelling at the clouds.
Everyone probably your marketing failure it's about to don't work
