Have one nut or two I need for a gt cassette wheel anyone have any info on what I need? I’ve been told possibly m12 x 1.0 but can’t find any locally to try does anyone have experience with gt bmx axles?
Take it to Home Depot, count the threads per inch blam-o new nut busted.

I’m an old school bmxer…but there used to be only 3/8″ axles or 14mm axles. It’s likely 14mmx1.0 or 1.25, as it looks like fine thread. Take the wheel to a bike shop or hardware store and see if you can match it up. Most axle nuts should be flanged.

Take good nut to a hardware store. There will (should) be a small rack with many different thread “bolts” that you can test it out on. Match it up. Read what the specs are and find a new nut in the drawers. Not that hard.
Also, any bike shop worth it’s salt will have one they will probably just give you.

I have this thread finder from Amazon. Pretty handy.

Any BMX/ bike shop will have it. Or Amazon will have it. There’s always Dan’s comp.com too.

Most 14mm axles utilize a M14x1.0 thread pitch. However, as others have suggested, it’s a good idea to visit your local hardware store to verify the size.
