I was attempting to install a hollowtech ii bottom bracket and evidently tried to force it when the threads weren’t lined up. Basically I am wondering if the threads on my frame are cooked and am I ever going to be able to install a bb on this frame? Any advice is appreciated

I see plenty of thread. For sure worth having it chased and faced by a pro.
Ugh

Bottom bracket that threads to each other inside the shell. For drastic repairs only.
thread needs chased with a tap or a dedicated thread chaser
I can chase those threads with ease! Totally fixable
You’re good, just have a LBS chase the threads [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEm2S50TURU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEm2S50TURU) then moving forward just slow and steady when threading in and respect torque specs.
Easily fixable at a quality shop. When installing anything threaded, make sure you grease the make and female threads, turn the item counter-clockwise slowly till you feel the start of the thread drop into place, then turn clockwise by hand, try not to touch a tool till you’ve gotten 3 or 4 full turns in by hand. If you can’t get more than 2 by hand you’re cross threading, unscrew and try again.
Thanks everyone for the replies! I will certainly learn from this
You could also chase the threads yourself with another BB… Take an old or new BB and cut some chaser grooves in it with die grinder just like a Tap would have and start threading it working it in and out in small increments applying cutting oil as you go.
