Fidlock is cool, and we need more fidlock posts, but… a bottle under the downtube? If it’s necessary to put something there, I’d rather replace the bottle with a toolbag, to reduce my dirt consumption. 🙂
I cannot imagine fidlock staying in place dropping down the Roman road into Bainbridge at 25mph+. There’s some really ‘rugged’, steep stuff around here.

I’m just not a fan of paying £50 for a bottle and proprietary cage when the ones I already have work great.

I ran Fidlock bottles for about half a season… I found them to be a solution searching for a problem. They are exorbitantly expensive compared to regular bottles, so buying spares adds up quickly. If you don’t have a perfect frame fit to reach for them, they are difficult to twist and unlatch while riding rough terrain.. especially while trying to do it without looking.
After some soul searching, I went back to my trusted Lezyne cages and haven’t regretted it with zero lost bottles, and no fiddly interface.

The fidlock mounting system is great but the bottles themselves kinda suck for how much they cost.
