Looking forward to seeing you in February for a saddle pressure fit. Kept up with the videos. L9ve them
Had a bike fit from Dan, and he fixed my saddle sore issue within 20 mins. Top guy who really knows his stuff.
Matching socks and cuffs has got to be worth at least 5 watts. Good stuff chaps!
Bike is small for him.
Is having more heel drop during pedaling down normal? Tia!
Maybe try shorter cranks as well?
Great video. Thanks for AIRC coverage!
Great vid! Also WHAT A BIKE !
Does a static bike fit on a trainer translate to the actual road?.
Ahhhh the biggest pain in the arse on todays roads!
The best saddle height is the one that doesn't rock your pelvis and maintains your foot around 90º, I wrote this at the beginning of the video and obviously this is what you talked about. I'll add that this should be performed while you're cold which is equal to when you're tired. If you ride with someone ask them how do you look from behind, go down until your spine is mostly static.
The bike seems too small and the handlebar too low, his arms should also have a little bend to account for less vibration and tension to the neck and shoulders.
why do you fit him seated on the tip of the saddle?
That hip rocking is noticeable on the road. Will be much harder to ride on a painted straight line. The hip rocking moves the bike side to side. For me I also notice I'm too high when I start gravitating towards the nose and it becomes more uncomfortable. Also neck, trap and more weight on hands.
You can never really tell if it is a good bike fit or new position unless you spend hours on the bike and through the days after the adjustments. You may feel more comfortable in the moment just after the adjustments, but may feel weird and uncomfortable after spending hours on the bike. Not everyone responds positively to bike fit standards.
What if I get my saddle too low
Lots of talk. Not much demonstration.
It seems to me that at the end the saddle is still to high and the upper body position si completely wrong, he needs to raise the handlebar and/or to have a shorter stem (arms are too straight and he seats on the tip of the saddle)
Is it just me seeing this or his pelvis is rocking more on the after than the before?
Still a lil bit unstable after the adjustments. Something needs to be done
Spinning at max cadence, like 150+ rpm is a good way to test position. Very important in my opinion
Watched quite a few of these and it’s amazing how many riders have their saddles too high which I notice when I am driving. Much more than this rider as well – they are really reaching and rocking.
Looked the same or worse to me after adjusting
