  1. Rule of thumb is the steerer tube sticking out a few millimeters above the stem… Don’t wanna make any half baked assumptions on how risky this would be exactly but I’d say be careful and don’t run it like this.

  2. Metal steerer and metal stem, steerer still ends above topmost stem bolt, that’s a clear send it.

    Generally if the top of the steerer tube is above the top stem bolt, you’re fine. If you’re worried about it, take a spacer out from under the stem

  4. That headset bearing looks pretty massive. If it can be replaced it’s worth checking with the local bike shop if they can offer something with a shorter profile.

    Top stem bolt looks like it’s below the end of the steerer tube, so that’s send-ish for me, but your better bet would be to fit a lower profile headset. That’s HUGE!

  6. Looks like if it were any longer than that it would need a spacer, mine has a bigger gap than that lol. Absolutely don’t worry about it as long as it’s above the top bolt.
