This is a bike you see quite often so they are not worth that much. It will not be worth bringing to a bike shop IMO. It could be a good bike to learn to wrench on although an Asian made bike from the 80s might be a better candidate from a parts compatibility standpoint. The cranks might cause you some grief if you try to remove.

Cottered cranks. Early 70’s UO-8 most likely. Worth exactly 50$

French thread bottom bracket if you plan on replacing
Not worth $50. It was $100 new and the bottom of the Peugeot line. My first 10 speed was essentially the same bike but a Gitane. Vintage doesn’t mean good, just old.
