    It’s a 400, not a 450 (see the chainstay protector). Model year 1985. Looks like the crank and pedals are original. Possibly the brake calipers. Derailleurs would have been Shimano Z-series. Triomphe parts were native to the next model up, the 410. Headset also looks original. The hub with the M logo on it probably is. Rear rim is not. Bar, stem, brake levers, seatpost all replaced.

  2. I wouldn’t worry about originalty. The soul of the bike is the frame. You may think it belongs in a museum, but no one sees bikes there. Get it on the road in a form you like to ride. All of those parts are quality stuff! Tune it up and ride!

  3. The cage on that rear derailleur just needs to be rotated counter-clockwise so it tensions properly. you’ll need to remove the chain for that.
