Didn’t need my first day of snowy commuting to coincide with my first broken chain, but I now feel justified for carrying a chain tool everywhere for the past however many months

The chain was nearly new! After I fixed it by removing the offending links, a kind stranger let me use their sink to scrub the oil off my hands – I’m glad the break occurred in town near the beginning of my evening commute rather than in the middle of nowhere.
