A friend of mine was moving out of state and told me to come get this bike that he had kicking around in his garage. It was in pretty rough shape, did not have the original brakes, or seat post, or saddle. I went through everything, repacked all the bearings, got the hubs laced to some clencher rims. All in all, I’m really happy with how it looks and very excited to give this beautiful bike another lease on life.

This is spectacular! And it’s a large frame! So cool! I would totally ride this… enjoy.

  2. I think you need to run the cable housing all the way to those style of brakes. From what I can see you only have half the brake working.

  3. Lovely bike, great color! I especially like the Stronglight cutout star cranks. As a young lad, I had those on a similar Peugeot and spent countless hours polishing them. Enjoy!

  4. Very fine bike and you done justice! Enjoy ride. A bit of TDF history back in the steel frame days.

I always admired the blue paint the most. I see white painted frames, most often.

    Your friend was most kind.

Note on brake hookup: check the setup on the Raleigh record posted here couple days back. : )
