Hi!
I am planning on going a big bicycle tour this summer, and am gathering all the stuff I need.
I bought the [Fuji Touring Disc LTD](https://fujibikes.eu/products/touring-disc-ltd), and am looking for a front rack to mount panniers to. I really want to go with the [Tubus Tara Lowrider](https://www.bike-discount.de/en/tubus-tara-lowrider-26-28-1), as I can get it for cheap in this particular webshop, and it seems to be liked by most.
However, they also offer [another version](https://www.bike-discount.de/en/tubus-tara-lowrider-big-apple) of the rack, and I can’t discern from the specifications listed on the website what exactly the difference is between them, it seems like the Big Apple variant is meant to fit on bikes with wider tires. I checked the specifications of my bike and they seem to have a tire width of 40c.
The normal variant doesn’t seem to have a tire width spec listed and it worries me to buy something without being 100% confident that it would fit on my bike. I tried to contact the webshop but their contact form doesn’t function (lol). So I’m hoping someone in here can give me a conclusive answer, will the [normal variant](https://www.bike-discount.de/en/tubus-tara-lowrider-26-28-1) of the rack fit my bike?
Another concern is the mounting mechanism of the rack, reference photos I saw online all use the bottom eyelet on the fork, which is already occupied by the front fender mount. Also, the design of the mount seems to have changed, as it’s now more like a plate.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I’ve got the regular version and it I’d be very surprised if you ran into any problems with any tires you’d like to use on that sort of a bike. I just measured mine, and the inner diameter of the end (half-circle) is 60 mm.
The Big Apple seems to have a light mount.
Cube states to only use the Tara with their cube nuroad gravel bike. The nuroad also has a tire clearance of 45mm. Going by that I’d say you won’t run into any problems with a 40mm tire
It’ll fit fine, your fork has an eyelet at the front of the dropout which you can bolt your rack to. I’ve used this rack with 42mm tyres and guards, works very well
The normal version fits 40mm easily. It looks like it could take up to 50mm and still have enough clearance.
The dimensional differences between the normal and the Big Apple variaton are here: https://www.tubus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/tubus/downloads/technische-zeichnungen/vorderradtraeger/TZ_Tara_5.0.pdf
Both will fit your bike fine.
