We fell in love with this underrated country right at the first day when we arrived in Shkoder and we saw a lot of locals cycling and even “parking spaces” for bikes all around the city. From that day onwards we had one sentence we basically repeated every day “this was the most beautiful ride on the whole tour so far”.
But not only the cycling itself was a lot of fun. Also, the people were very hospitable, the weather treated us very well, the food was nice and cheap (even though mostly the same everywhere) and it was the easiest country so far for wild camping (Spoiler alert!! The easiest before we arrived in Turkey). So instead of staying 2 to three weeks we spend 4 weeks in Albania and changed directions so many times to make sure we see as much as possible. We passed by the greek border 3 times before we eventually decided that its time to change the country.
If you are not sure yet whether you should go visit Albania or not – don´t even think about it anymore. It’s great!

Thanks for your video! We loved as well Albania so much! It looks like we took the same sh**ty road which was a nightmare to climb, maybe you will recognize if you check in my vlog about Albania ahaha
Hope we'll cross on the road one day, cheers 😀
Just subbed
Beautiful!
Dinge wie Wassermelonen klauen kann man mal machen; man sollte aber nicht damit hausieren gehen. Da hat von den Leuten die dort wohnen niemand Bock drauf.
So adventurous.
