I’ve been cycling from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, Argentina for the past six months and just completed 1,000 miles down Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.

Crossing west and east repeatedly from the Pacific Coast to the Sea of Cortez, vibrant beaches giving way to arid mountains and destitute days of desert plains in between. Then strict canyon climbs toward famed playas Santispac, Coyote, and Isla Requeson, wild camping on calm turquoise waters with long stingrays and ghost-colored camouflage crabs.

Days end watching alpenglow melt over Bahía Concepción, or the choir of palms swaying in San Ignacio’s river oasis, tracing the moonrise from my tent, gambling on night rides by light of the stars. Plus comes the food, unbelievable food, incredible meals for a few dollars or less.

Made the overnight ferry to Mazatlán and currently continuing south toward Central America ✌🏼
