Just got done putting together the final parts needed to make my custom Banshee Paradox V3 rideable.

Didn't get all the parts I wanted because I cheaped out to get this rideable before Winter hits.

So far the specs are

Banshee Paradox V3 frame

Rockshox Psylo Gold

SRAM HS2 220mm/200mm

Shimano BR-MT200 (temporary)

Box Two Prime 9 set

DT Swiss E 593 rims

DT Swiss Competition 2.0/1.8 spokes

Sapim polyax 14mm nipples

Spank Hex J-Type Boost hubs

Spank handlebar grips

Spank Spoon DC Pedals

Spank Spike 160 saddle

Spank Split Stem

Spank Stem spacers

FSA Gradient 40mm Rise Handlebar

KS Exaform speed up dropper post (temporary)

Maxxis Dissector 29×2.6 front (temporary) and rear

Corki Topo Series crankset (temporary because I forgot to order a Shimano Cues)

Shimano BB-MT501

I have the the Muc-Off Tubeless kit. But currently running Blackburn heavy duty tubes because next week I'm going to get the wheels truing finalized by a professional (and they asked the wheelset be clean) since I don't have the precision tools nor the experience to get the radial true dialed in.

Some of the parts I only chose though because they were on a clearance sale on Jenson USA.

But the parts I'm going to focus on next in order is

Shimano Cues FC-U6000-1

Shimano BR-M6220 kit front and rear

Jagwire Pro Universal brake hoses + Jagwire hyflow kit

KS Eten-i dropper post + Wolf Tooth remote lever + CNC white cable kit

Maxxis Minion DHF 29×2.6

And if I feel the need. Some quick release Thru-axles.

Overall I'm very happy with it. It is such a night and day difference in feel over my custom Kent Trouvaille.

The Rockshox Psylo Gold feels nice and plush over the SR Suntour XCM30 and the extra volume from the 2.6 tires cushions more bumps than my Kents 2.4 tires.

Surprisingly even at 35psi the Dissectors roll noticeably easier than the CST Patrol tires at 40psi.

When I go to get the front fork serviced in 2-3 months I'm gonna see about getting a remote lockout installed because I live in a valley town so a remote lockout would do wonders.

NICE! Banshee has been my go-to for over 12 years. They are a solid company and stand by their products. Im on a rune and a legend myself!!

  2. I built a paradox V3 in 2020 and have since sold my full suspension, has been one of my favorite bikes.. awesome machine

  3. One thing though. I got the spokes and nipples from Universal Cycles. And that was the first and last time I’m ever buying from them. First their website lied about the same day shipping. The sales person that emailed me then lied about the new ship date, then I found out they were waiting for just 1 bag of nipples to ship from Colorado to Portland (keep in mind I live in Maine so Colorado is closer), then when they shipped a day late from the updated ship date failed to charge me for my order 3 days after they shipped my items while ignoring all but 1 of my emails asking when I will be charged (they answered after I was finally charged…). And when I received my items they near gave me a heart attack because one of the warehouse workers labeled a group of my spokes as 295mm instead of 292mm.

Not to mention their website is HORRIBLE. The wishlist allows you to set a quantity to make it easy to add said quantity to your cart. However that feature rarely worked and frequently reset the quantity to 1. And the navigation is very clunk. And every couple of minutes the website logged me out.
