Thanks to Shimano I’m in Italy and I’m here for the IL Lombardia race, firstly I get to hang out with the pro’s on their recon ride the day before, then I’m off to the pro race… then finally I have to take own the ride myself in the Il Lombardia Grand Fondo. What an epic weekend!

Great recording! I spend a lot of time in Lecco (top end of Como) every year & know those roads very well, youre absolutely spot on correct about needing good fitness when riding there too, theres no hiding lack of form on anywhere round there. The club & amateur scene there is insane, most group rides end up as complete smashfests & as well as always having a few out of contract pros putting the hurt on theres also quite a few ex-pros still showing the younguns how its done. Gorgeous part of the world anyway as your footage shows, I'd move there permanently given the chance.
