  1. that entirely depends.

i literally just bought this (the yellow one in M) for a friend who cracked his frame earlier this morning. so we just take his drive train and saddle and he’s good to go. need to swap di2 hoods too i think.

it’s a good price for a frame, however it’s the old model. so no gear groove cockpit.

you can slap a chinese groupset on and you’re good.

Depends on what you already own and what you need to buy how you want to spec it. L-Twoo groupset or SRAM Red, Elite wheels or Princeton Carbonworks. Just put the numbers together and see if it makes sense to you.

And do you have the few tools needed and some experience?

Edit: I see it comes with Shimano 105 DI2 shifters and brakes, that’s what you want? You’ll need to buy crankset, derailer, central battery and some di2 wires yourself.

They had the same frame with Rival E1 for 999 € and I will build Rival/Force mix with Elitewheels Edge 3.0, which will be ~2500€ in total. Pressfit is my only concern, but otherwise tricky stuff is done already.

  4. it is cheaper to buy the whole assembled bike, ime, however if you want to nitpick the parts according to the brand / colour scheme / peeformance you want, buy this frameset

  5. Buying a complete bike is cheaper. Also, if you don’t know how to assemble one, you shouldn’t buy components separately

  6. I wish they’d sell this in the U.S. I have extra wheelset and a whole groupset I could throw on it

  7. I recently got a frame and am building up a bike with secondhand parts from marktplaats, it’s quite cheap and fun to do as a hobby project.

but if it’s your first bike and limited experience, then i would go for a complete bike. unless you like this particular colour frame and would be willing to go through the learning curve and hassle. first do a calculation on just the parts i.e. wheelset, groupset, saddle and other small parts, and tools if you haven’t got any, and see how much the whole thing would cost first.
