After my alloy Novara developed a fat ass crack in the headtube I decided it was high time to get myself some real steel – this 1990(?) Marin Bear Valley. Did a quick and dirty full rebuild, basically transferred every part I had on my Novara to this beauty. Paint is pretty scuffed but the frame is in great condition otherwise!
90% done, still need to set the derailleur and the brakes up properly (front brake squealing crazy style) and I’ll eventually swap the fork for a Stridsland Barnacle fork with the matching threadless headset, but man do I love this thing already.
