Pastor I appreciate your wisdom and understanding of the Word . The complexity of what is coming before us in the world and here at home. I have one child, a son 18 , who is attending a private Christian college an hour from home. My fear is he will be drafted in this fast approaching war that seems more and more of a reality . Especially when I listen to what you are speaking. No location is safe – we must put all our faith, belief and devotion in our Lord. Ephesians 6 Put on our Armor Of God Thank you pastor. Many blessings to your family and church. Annie in Indiana
In Psalm 83 ten specific enemies are listed but there is NO TIME IN THE HISTORY OF ISRAEL when these joined together in a desire to wipe out Israel from being a nation.

Have you read Jeremiah 49 :34-39 concerning Iran ? There is NO HISTORICAL PROOF that the prophecies concerning Iran in Jer 49 have been fulfilled. It is a fact that many ballistic missile launchers and Iran's nuclear power plant are located in the ancient territory of Elam. Is it possible that Jer 49:34-39 could take place before Psalm 83?
Is it possible that Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, Dr. Arno Gaebelein, Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost, Dr. Charles Dyer and Dr. John Walvoord most likely looked at the historical evidence in the sixth century about Nebuchadnezzar II concerning Elam in Jeremiah 49 and concluded without looking at newspaper headlines in their days that the complete destruction of Elam does not seem to have been fulfilled in history?
If the complete destruction of Elam does not seem to have been fulfilled in history, wouldn’t this logically mean that the prophecies of Elam in Jeremiah 49:34-38 are going to take place sometime in the future? Who could God be so fiercely angry at in modern-day Iran in our day? Could it be the rogue Islamic regime that wants to wipe Israel off of the map? Dr Andy Woods and Dr Mark Hitchcock believe Jer 49:34-38 concerning Iran was fulfilled in history by Nebuchadnezzar II . " The following source documents some of the history of Nebuchadnezzar II in one of the historiographical texts from ancient Babylonia in the time frame of about 597. This historical information was discovered in the Babylonian Chronicles. It documents Nebuchadnezzar’s encounter with the king of Elam. “The Chronicle Concerning the Early Years of Nebuchadnezzar II (ABC 5) is one of the historiographical texts from ancient Babylonia … in 597 BCE…” Here is a little of what has been found in the Babylonian Chronicle between Nebuchadnezzar II of Babylon and Elam. “[Obv.15] In the first year of Nebuchadnezzar [604/603] in the month of Simanunote he mustered his army.” “[Rev.16′] In the ninth year [596/595], the month of […] the king of Akkad and his troops marched along the bank of the Tigris […]” “[Rev.20′] the king of Elam was afraid and, panic falling on him, he returned to his own land.” This historical account in the Babylonian Chronicles seems to give credence to the idea that there may not have been an actual battle. In the historical account in the Babylonian Chronicles there was no mention of a destruction of Elam and Nebuchadnezzar’s armies did not kill the king of Elam as the biblical text requires in Jeremiah 49. Jer. 49:36 says that the population will scatter out of Elam into the nations of the world and Jer. 49:38 specifically predicts the kings and princes of Elam will be destroyed. The king not only survived, but rather than scatter away from Elam, he returned back to Elam. These two facts mitigate against the possibility that the Elam prophecy found fulfillment through Nebuchadnezzar II." This is taken from the book " The Future War Prophecies " Bill Salus PS. Fun fact. Dr Mark Hitchcock supplied to me the quote " “[Rev.20′] the king of Elam was afraid and, panic falling on him, he returned to his own land.” as his proof that Jer 49:34-38 was fulfilled by Nebuchadnezzar II when I challenged him to provide historical proof that Nebuchadnezzar II destroyed Elam according to the biblical text.
William McDonald authored the Believers Bible Commentary in 1995 . In his commentary on Psalm 83 he believed Psalm 83 was a future war prophecy not an imprecatory prayer. What is really interesting is that this Bible scholar in 1995 did not believe Psalm 83 was fulfilled in 1948. Why ? Can anyone name some well known Bible teachers or commentaries that believed that Psalm 83 was COMPLETELY fulfilled BEFORE 2000? I do not know of even one. If it is so obvious that Psalm 83 was completely fulfilled in 1948 , why did all the prophecy teachers from 1948-2000 not see the same thing like Amir ? How could they miss such a HUGE fulfilled prophecy concerning Israel? Why did Missler, Walvoord, Lindsey ,etc not understand the war of 1948 fits so perfectly as a fulfilled prophecy in Psalm 83? In addition John Peter Lange is a well respected theologian who was the author of the Lange Commentary on the Holy Scripture in 1877.He believed Psalm 83 was a FUTURE WAR prophecy way back in the 1800's . Do you think he was looking at news headlines in the Middle East ? He even went so far to say that Psalm 83 is not a general prayer because of the detail in Psalm 83:8. If you find this information thought provoking , I suggest you read " Why Psalm 83 is a Prayer and a Future War Prophecy" in Bill Salus new book " The Future War Prophecies".

I suggest the pastor look at Jer 49:34-39 Elam/ Iran. These prophecies were not holistically fulfilled. Read books from Bill Salus.
