2022 Lauf Seigla on 47mm Terravail Cannonballs in Leon Kansas on Thanksgiving day. – 33 mile ride with 1627ft elevation.
Sadly around the next corner I encountered an aggressive dog – some kind of lab mix. Cornered by a dog barking and growling – put the bike between it and me but it kept following. After a few minutes with me yelling at the dog a lady came out – she let out two more dogs, one of which, a black lab mix, was even more aggressive than the first. Eventually I was able to proceed on my way with no harm but a hoarse voice.
I have ordered some dog pepper spray from Amazon and will not ride gravel without it in future. Going forward I will spray any dog that does not back off. Be careful out there. I have been chased by dogs before but nothing like this
