during very troubled times, a passion for history… is the light, that shines very bright,

do you know about queen philippa plantagent, queen of portugal… 1387 to 1415… who married João, John of Aviz, King of Portugal from 1385 -1433,,,
The Treaty of Windsor is a diplomatic alliance signed between the Kingdom of Portugal and the Kingdom of England on 24 February 1387 in Windsor, Berkshire, also the marriage between queen philippa and the aviz dynasty… the illustrious generation of portugal…

maybe a reminder of history, that a portugese man and his sister, visting france, mio dio, the traditonal enemy of england…, in memory of the treaty of windsor,
is very upsetting to the king of england,… & the house of aviz…, even worse, if you put up any portugese banners or flags, on the chateaux… jaja..

the kingdom of france, traditonal alley , the kingdom of scotland. the auld alliance,, was signed, because of portugal & england.,
you may see, some loco tourists in porto, lisboa, putting up ecossia bandera, in memory of that… lol ;P

the source book is * prince john of ghent..gaunt by helen carr..
the celebrity medieval son of Edward III, that connects portugal, espanha, burgundy, france, gales, ecossia, irelanda, the hapsburgs..

duchess of burgundy.. isabella aviz, of portugal became matriach of the house of burgundy..mother to Charles the bold,. grandmother to duchess mary the rich and the later catarina, hapsburg regent of portugal… was her descendant…
the dynastic and family threads, ties that connect western & northern europe……

take care, keep history & heritage alive…
