Hi, I just bought this Fuji Touring Disc 2020 (https://buycycle.com/it-it/product/touring-disc-2020-83558) for about 550€ with the shipment. I'm planning to use it mainly for commuting and some weekend road trips. The bike looks amazing (it's made of steel, has eyelets for fenders and racks, has good breaks…) and I'm sooo excited since I've been looking for a new bike for almost a year, but now I'm a bit afraid: did I make the right choice? Is it a good bike as I think it is?

My partner has the 2023 version of this bike and has ridden 12,000km+ on it with minimal problems. It’s a fantastic bike for the price. You have nothing to worry about!

I have the same bike but with a slightly different spec. Mine has dynamo lights and STI levers from the factory, both of which are a worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. It’s a fantastic bike. The frame is well-made and the components are basic but reliable, which is what you want on a touring bike. The only disadvantage in my opinion is the relatively bad paint quality.
I have the 2024 edition mostly as a commuter but I also took it loaded up with panniers to the mountains for a few days. Good choice for a good allrounder!
Of course. Not really sure how it could be any better tbh outside of personalization like fancy leather seat, dynamo, etc.
At this point you really just need to ride it to find out what might need changing. For example I just took my touring bike to California and holy holy do they have hills out there. I was able to do most hills but spent a lot of time in my lowest gear and do wish I had even lower.
I have the 2023 version, do three month tours every year on her. Only major upgrades were heavy duty wheels to put on 52mm tyres so she can take the weight and hydraulic hybrid pots for better stopping power. Other than that, can’t fault it. Happy cycling.
I have one, not sure how to check which year. Bought it in 2023, it’s brown. I’ve use it as a commuter and touring bike, and I can say it has delivered 15000+ km of fun, and I’m very rough with my bikes. When I bought it I was concerned that the tire clearance wasn’t sufficient, but since then I’ve successfully fitted 700Cx45mm and 650Bx55mm both with fenders with no trouble.
I just broke the rear rack last that was provided with it while riding heavily loaded in a bumpy quad trail. Planing on beating this bike up? Upgrade the rack for a steel one and you’ll be fine.
