Dirt bike wasn’t much more powerful at all and you started from further back. Let’s make sure we at least try to remember how things are tested and compared in science before we report biased results
It depends on the gearing and tires and weight distribution. And the voltage of the system. Higher voltage obviously is faster, but the dirt bike might just have higher volts which always means higher price, and it might have more low end torque but it might be way louder to ride around on the street at a higher speed. I'd rather have a quiet ride. And it's better to have a running start and get the bike rolling rather than forcing it to start from a standstill, your battery and motor and bike will last way longer if you do.

Ebike arent designed to handle dirt. This is like putting a prius up agaisnt a jeep. It wasnt designed to handle certain environments intentionally.
It's not "a little bit more" , it's 3-5x.
