I've had plenty of punctures in the past, but I got my first puncture on THIS bike yesterday (Pathlite ON5 SUV @ 900km)
The through axle was the first surprise. Lefty tightly. Uh, oh, are they all like this? Ok rightly loosely, figured it out before I did any damage. The derailleur hangs on the axle. It's a bit tricky to get it all lined up at the side of the road when re-assembling but ok, we did it. Getting the through axle threaded into the threaded receiver was another challenge. Definitely a bike designed to only get punctures in the garage and not by the roadside.
Breaking the bead was another almost impossible task. Who designs these? Do they know it's 27kg bike?

Are you sure you undid the thru axle from the right side? Mine has options to undo from either with lefty loosely being correct on the easiest side
