Hosting the “Grande Partenza” of the 2022 Giro d’Italia and the Tour de Hongrie, Hungary has recently been at the center of the professional cycling world.

Competing in both races, the Giant-sponsored Team BikeExchange-Jayco had the opportunity to appreciate the country and its people, and also visit one the Giant Group’s newest manufacturing facilities, Giant Group Hungary Manufacturing. For most of the riders, this was a first-time experience inside a real bicycle factory and they were curious about every detail of the production process.

“Impressive buildings, incredible projects with great ambitions,” team rider Luka Mezgec said. “We are really pleased to have this opportunity, which rarely happens as we mostly focus on the racing part of things. Meeting some of the incredible people that work every day to build the products we see on the roads every day was inspiring.”

“Team building, relationships and the understanding of what goes on behind the scenes is crucial to make partnerships the most successful,” said the team’s marketing and communications director Matteo Vitello. “Days like this give us the opportunity to see and realize how much Giant is developing in terms of technology in our sport and in cycling in general. This makes us even more proud to be together with the global leader in our sector.”

  1. I love the fact that Giant maintained a humble brand image despite being the most successful international bike manufacturer. Brands like Specialized and Trek would brag about any minute design change and Giant would just give us what works.
