I’ve been building parks.bike, a global directory for discovering MTB bike parks.
It currently covers 160+ parks, and I’m working on expanding the database internationally.
Rather than just adding names and locations, I’m trying to make each listing genuinely useful for riders — things like trail count, uplift access, elevation, vertical drop, riding season and average ride time.
For people who ride bike parks regularly:
What information do you always want to know before deciding where to ride?
And what do you think existing bike park directories are missing?
I’m particularly interested in honest criticism and suggestions from riders who actually use this kind of information.

Who runs the shuttles there and how do you check availability/book? How frequent are shuttle runs? Trail status – Do trails close for weather or events? Where do you check this? Sometimes the park website shows it is open but the shuttle website shows it is closed.

Park amenities, parking, toilets, wash bays, workshops or bike shops in nearby towns, food and drinks, and the nearest hospital.
every time i get on a site like this it’s an unfinished list and doesn’t have everything, and understand that’s a hard problem to solve, but it’s the thing stopping me from ever using directories like this.
Rules around camping, like parking lot camping or on site rental camping etc. Camping facilities like showers and bathrooms. Are camper trailers allowed, are rvs allowed, is sleeping in your car allowed, that type of thing
