I’m leaving Utrecht tomorrow morning for a solo bikepacking trip to Berlin. About 700 km, roughly 90–100 km per day, camping along the way and riding my MTB.
For a large part of the trip I’ll be following the EuropaRadweg R1 (D3) towards Berlin, although I’m keeping things flexible and may change the route along the way.
Just wondering if anyone happens to be heading east towards Berlin in the coming days. I’m riding solo, but it would be fun to meet another bikepacker somewhere along the route, grab a coffee, or ride a section together.
If you’re somewhere along the route, let me know!

Have fun. I did it from Almere ro Berlin, and after a weekend of partying continued to Poznan. From there, international train back. Super fun trip and Poland is awesome. Plus Poznan has one of my fav pizza places in the world.
You experienced doing these things?

Where is your first night gonna be? I may be on route.
FYI There are a lot of pears and apples on trees at the moment if you are searching for calories on the road

We did scheveningen -> berlin this summer. Was great!
Eastern germany was sometimes a bit difficult. Bevause either riding on main roads or off-roads with very bad surfaces.
If you dont mind a bit graveling, id recommend to stay off main roads in eastern germany and also ride a part along the mittellandkanal.
In brandenburg ride parts of the spree-cycling path.
Have fun!
