I have a Genius 930 from 2020, and the fork needs a service. I’m 102 kg, and I feel like the fork might be a little “thin” or wobbly for my weight.
I found a deal on a brand-new Fox 36 Rhythm for only $150 more than what a full service on my Fox 34 would cost me in parts. I live in Denmark.
Would it be worth upgrading to the bigger fork? I feel like it could be a good upgrade for a heavier rider, but I’m really not sure and would appreciate some guidance before pulling the trigger.
Also, how can I tell if the Fox 36 will actually fit my Genius?
I removed the TwinLoc since I wasn’t using it anyway, if that makes any difference.

My current fork:
Fox 34 FLOAT Performance Air, GRIP 3, 15×110 mm axle, 44 mm offset, tapered steerer, lockout, 3 modes.
I’m by no means a fast rider, but I do enjoy jumping, and I’m planning to visit some bike parks with lift access later this year.
Would the Fox 36 be a worthwhile upgrade for me, or would I be better off just servicing the Fox 34?

Is your old fork a 150mm as well? looks like it would fit. axle, steerer tube, and travel are all you usually need to check. brake adapters might change and you’d need to cut it and move the crown race which might add some cost to the new fork.
Do you actually feel the fork isn’t telling turns well or binding under deep compressions ? That might say swap to 36.
Otherwise, I actually usually find a freshly serviced fox fork is smoother than a new one so if the 34 works for you no need to chase greener grass
As someone that went from 36 to 38mm stanchions with 90kg… Please take the 36. Jumping and visiting bike parks with anything less is asking for trouble.
That seems like a pretty good price for a new fork. Why don’t you buy the new one, then you can swap it out and with no time pressure you can learn to service the old one
Is it a performance or performance elite? I ask because performance elite is fox factory but black instead of Kashima and rhythm is typically only OEM so it sits lower than performance on the quality totem poll. You may find it doesn’t feel quite as nice but the 35 will absolutely be stiffer, which it sounds like is the goal.
I’d go the 36 and then sell the 34. The increased stiffness is noticeable and only costs a little more weight. They both have a GRIP damper so you’re not going backwards there.
