So I'm in Portland, Oregon. This is one of our Costcos in the area. Two long bike racks and a bike locker. The convenience of the bicycle culture of the PNW in car dominated America
Also annoying that motorcycles seem to think they’re allowed to park here

This seems like an aberration for any big box store in Portland, where if there are racks, they are usually poorly placed. Like, wave racks like that are usually up against a wall.

Clackamas, I’ve ridden there a few times for prescriptions.
It’s ok once you get there, but the last stretch of roads to and from it is a bit hairy. It’s across the street from the police station, but people drive pretty crazy and fast on Sunnybrook even with a building full of cops in it. Luckily no one walks around the area so sidewalks are usually a decent option.

Oregon state code recently changed and will require “large bike” specific parking spots. This will mean that should start seeing cargo bike specific parking at new developments.
Each city will still need to update their own code to be effective but it’s nice to see it coming down the pipe

I asked three employees at my costco “hey if I show up on a bike with a trailer, where can I lock up?” And they looked at me like I had 3 heads.

It’s Costco, how many jumbo sized items can you carry on a bike?
