Seems to play into Tadej's hands. I'm sure yesterday wore him out. And now a bit of a rest before a stage made for him.
Should have neutralised the race time on the climb, stopped on safety grounds if that was their concern but kept all points and advantages up to the start of the climb, they have radio contact these days so easy to get the news to the peloton and all riders

Why wasnt cancellation decided much earlier? I mean those mustve seen theres a hailstorm coming and you just cant race during that! Just dont understand why the rides first had to get off their bikes and seek shelter before the race organizers do anything

The London 100 was shortened to 86 the year I rode it thanks to a huge storm that arrived from Florida. The organisers rightfully didn't want thousands of riders flying down Leith Hill and Box Hill with wet brakes. When I arrived in London all the sewers had overflowed into the Thames and the city stank of sewage.
Race organizers showed courtesy to cancel the race 😂 we thank race director the highness for his courage 😂
